The party primaries are key to securing a good number of seats across the nation. UDA is currently holding party primaries, however, there are technicalities that has caused party nomination exercises to be postponed until 19th of April 2022 in Turkana. This has happened due to insufficient ballot papers and claims that the ballot papers have been rigged.
For instance, on bomet, residents have claimed and even produced ballot papers that have been marked. This is a clear indication that the nominations exercise might also be halted in Bomet. In Nakuru, Gilgil and Njoro counties are also experienced complains that the returning officers and clerks were sourced from the CDF party officials.
Elsewhere, the party primaries are currently going on well across the country. Jericho, Mandi, and central region counties are not experiencing any techinal errors. The UDA have tried their best to ensure that the exercise has gone well.
