Earlier today, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga paid a visit in Nairobi county where he went to sensitize the people to register as voters ahead of 2022 general elections. He surprised people with the large crowd he pulled when he landed. He passed by Burma market and Kamukunji grounds which were previously thought to be Ruto's strongholds.
There were speculations that Raila and Ruto shared equal votes in Nairobi county. However, with recent events, it has been alleged that Orange Democratic Movement party leader may take it all in the 2022 polls with the relatively large crowds he has been pulling compared to the deputy president.
The meeting in Nairobi follows another meeting which he held in Mt. Kenya region where he was warmly welcomed. On the other hand, the deputy president has not held campaign rallies with people in the streets. Most of his meetings were held in his Karen residence.
