On Wednesday morning, deputy president William Ruto held a high profile meeting at his official Karen residence in Nairobi.
Among the leaders who met the Deputy President William Ruto is the politicians who were defeated in the just concluded United Democratic Alliance movement Party nominations.
Among them is Benson Cheserek who was seeking to become the next Member of Parliament for Marakwet West Constituency, Laxmanner Kiptoo and who Stephen Cheburwa were seeking the position for Marakwet East constituency.
The three were were defeated in the nominations by William Kisang who will fly the UDA ticket in the Marakwet West Constituency as well as the incumbent Member of Parliament for Marakwet East constituency Honourable Kangogo Bowen.

The meeting was also attended by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who wi be seeking to retain his position after having won in the nominations that were held in April.
