Raila Leaves Kenya For South Sudan (Photos)

ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga has left the country for South Sudan.

Announcing his departure on Wednesday evening, Raila said he had landed safely at Juba in South Sudan for an official visit. The High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa said he is set to officially commission a 3.6km freedom bridge in Sudan that will connect Juba to the rest of the region.

"Touchdown: Arrival in Juba, South Sudan ahead of tomorrow’s commissioning of the 3.6 kms freedom bridge that will connect Juba to the rest of the region. Africa is busy expanding its infrastructure" read Raila's post on Facebook

This comes just a day after Raila Odinga accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday to commission the Kisumu International Airport Expansion project in Kisumu County.

He later joined the head of state in officially opening the 9th Edition of Africities summit in Kisumu city.

"Talk about developing and modernizing Cities across the continent. Africa will rise and this will only happen faster if collaborative efforts led by our people spearhead the processes," said Raila as after attending the summit

His visit to South Sudan comes just days after Kalonzo Musyoak's visit.
