Speaking to the press on Eldoret town Kositamy said he is fit to replace the incumbent governor Jackson Mandago who is serving his second and last term in office.
"I want to say without fear of contradiction thta I will be vying for Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat come 2022, my aim is to ensure thta our residents are empowered financialy," said the Soy member of parliament.
Kositany is currently the membet of parliament for Soy constituency serving his forts term in office.
He is also a big ally of the deputy president William Samoei Ruto's presidential bid come 2022.
"Once elected I will serve Uasin Gishu residents equally no matter their political or tribal affiliation, I will ensure that the projects which were started by thr incumbent are completed for the benefit of Uasin Gishu residents at ," he added.
He called on residents to support his bid come 2022.
"I want to call upon residents to to givee a chance by voting for me to be their governor and thus will never regret voting for me since I have alot in store for them.Let us come together and build our county," he added.
The Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat has attracted many contestants which include former gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich also known as Buzeki, Kenyans ambassador to Pakistan Julius Bitok, TSC commissioner Cleophas, Veska Kangogo Uasin Gishu Senator Margaret Kamar among others.
Uasin Gishu is the home of the deputy president William Samoei Ruto who had declared his interest for presidency come 2022.
