The Deputy President is facing fierce opposition towards his 2022 presidential political ambition. There are different significant political leaders who are opposing the DP from his 2022 political ambition. One of these people is Gladys Wanga, the prominent and vocal Homa Bay county Woman representative. Gladys called Deputy President Ruto to resign from the office.
At kisumu, in Kisian, during the send off of Margaret Alai, the woman Representative called the DP to resign arguing that he could not manage to eat the presidential cake whie still in office. She stated that the DP is supposed to leave office and fight for the position when he is outside the government.
She addressed the mourners and told them that Ruto is not supposed to be criticizing the government while still in service. Wanga was backed by Rosa Buyu (her Kisumu counterpart) who stated that the BBI fall did not mean that Raila Omolo Odinga will not be able to secure the top presidential seat come 2022. The two were backing President Uhuru Kenyatta's statement during a meeting with the county senior editors where he told the DP that he was supposed to resign if he was tired with the current government's functions. Do you think that the DP should resign from office to focus in his 2022 political ambitions?
