When he released the results a few days ago, the education cabinet secretary said that the pupils had done well beyond expectations. The results were released in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. This led to the disruption of the academic calendar. President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered the closure of schools to stem the spread of the virus. Pupils and students were forced to study from their homes.
Public schools did well in the examinations. The first student was a girl and studied in a public school. The pupils will know the secondary school that they will attend in a matter of weeks according to the Education cabinet secretary.
