Renown political analyst Dennis Syambai has tactfully asked president Dr William Ruto to consider employing retired president Uhuru Kenyatta's former Cabinet Secretaries Eugene Wamalwa and Peter Munya.
While appearing on TV 47 Kenya Live show on Monday morning, Syambai, Eugene Wamalwa and Peter Munya were leaders who had accumulated experience while working in past governments. According to him, the two leaders, with their protracted leadership experience should be part of Dr Ruto's government. He urged the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition government to take serious note of the matter if it aimed at making any progress.
"Peter Munya and Eugene Wamalwa are experienced leaders who should be in the government. Kenya Kwanza needs to realize this to be able to maneuver around," Dennis Syambai.
This comes after president Ruto formed his government after the Supreme Court of Kenya upheld his election. Few days after he was sworn in to office, he partially appointed his cabinet. His appointments included cabinet secretaries and Attorney General among others. He is yet appoint Principal Secretaries and other appointive state officials.
In his cabinet, Dr Ruto appointed some of his arden loyalists who include Kipchumba Murkomen, Aden Duale, Alice Wahome and Moses Kuria. Also, a number of the appointees were new faces.
Wamalwa and Munya have served in the retired president Uhuru Kenyatta's government as Cabinet Secretaries until the end of the former Head of State's tenure. The former was Defence CS while the latter was incharge of Agriculture docket. Nevertheless, the two are not in good terms with Dr Ruto politically.
