Former Powerful MP Defends Martha Karua After Murkomen's Recent Remarks

Former Mukurweini Member of Parliament Kabando Wa Kabando has now responded to Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen's attacks on Azimio la Umoja running mate and NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua.

Taking to his social media account on Wednesday morning, the vocal former legislator claimed that Murkomen's remarks were a show of fears. He however, described the former Majority Leader in the Senate as the best leader who can articulate issues in the parliament.

''I concede a fact: I'd vote @kipmurkomen as my Senator, he's good at his bunge job. But I am so very disappointed he's so scared by inevitability of our INCOMING DP @MarthaKarua of indefatigable #RaoKa. Dear Kip, Martha Karua isn't just CHERRY on CAKE as you say, She's the ICING!''said Kabando Wa Kabando.

Kabando who is seeking to be Nyeri's next senator further warned those calling Martha Karua ''huyo mama (that lady)'' to desist from the phrase.

The sentiments by the hopeful senator comes a day after Kipchumba Murkomen's watered down the entrance of Martha Karua into the Azimio coalition led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Murkomen while speaking in the funeral service of Mathira MP and Kenya Kwanza running mate nominee Rigathi Gachagua's brother, he alleged that Raila was trying to confuse Kenyans by naming Karua as his deputy.

"If you are given a poisonous cake then having an icing of a lady will it change the poison that is inside that cake? So we know who we are voting for. We are voting for Raila Odinga. He can not confuse us by trying to put some cherry on the cake to confuse the people of Kenya. We are very clear in our minds,"said Murkomen
