President William Ruto is currently launching some development projects in Nyanza region. President William Ruto has been accompanied by some leaders from the Kenya Kwanza government led by the deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua, Information Communication and Technology Cabinet Secretary, Eliud Owalo among other leaders. He was received by leaders from Nyanza region who want to embrace development in their counties.
While addressing the residents of Homabay county, president William Ruto made the residents apologize over their actions. Ruto recalled the number of votes that he got from that region during the August 2022 general elections.
According to president William Ruto, the region kingpin, Raila Odinga, got alot of votes from other region which was against what president William Ruto got in Nyanza region. Ruto said that Raila Odinga got 25% of the total votes in Rigathi's home ground and also 28% in Ruto's home background. Ruto said that this was against him as he only got 1% of the Total votes from Nyanza region.
