President Uhuru Kenyatta's key ally, William Kabogo has made a bold declaration on Deputy President, Dr. William Ruto's support across the country. The former Kiambu Governor was responding to a story by Star Newspaper that claimed that Hon. Gachagua is leading the race as Ruto's Deputy while Former Gatanga MP, Peter Kenneth is leading the race as Raila's running mate in upcoming Presidential election.

The Star Newspaper showed the survey done between January 5th and 15th which involved numerous prospective candidates for running mate position for both Raila and Ruto respectively. William Kabogo has responded to the story as he claims that neither Peter Kenneth nor Gachagua will be chosen as running mates for Raila and Ruto respectively because they both don't add values to the candidates.
William Kabogo further alleged that this year's Presidential election will be between DP Ruto who has a huge following in the country and Raila Odinga who enjoys the backing of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kabogo's bold claim on DP Ruto could mean that the Deputy President truly has huge following in the country evident from large political rallies he holds across the country almost daily. Majority of the Opinion Polls conducted also places the Deputy President ahead of Raila Odinga in race to succeed Pres. Uhuru Kenyatta.
