Kenyan Youths To Determine Next Years Presidential Elections

IEBC had announced a plan to register 6 million new voters. These are new faces who never voted in the 2017 general elections. The group consists of the youths aged between 18 and 22 years who are around 4 million-plus between 22 and 26 years who are around 2 million new voters. This means top Presidential seat contenders like William Ruto has a lot to do to channel these votes into their ballots.

Ruto has already coined the hustler narrative phrase which seems to have resonated very well with the majority of youths in the ground. The fact is youths are no longer divided through tribal lines. And since been united with challenges faced by many which are lack of job opportunities. Ruto claims he will be rebuilding Kenya's economy from the bottom-up, and this could involve the majority of youths whom he perceives to be the hustlers.

Raila Odinga's Exciting Policies For Youths

Raila Odinga has promised to introduce tax holidays for youth-owned businesses. He has also promised to lower taxes for organizations that will be employing youths. There is also a plan by the ODM leader to amend some clauses in HELB policies like interest rates and payment periods to favor youths plus doing away with CRB listing for youths.
