"It's Now A Matter Of Waiting" Dp Ruto Speech After Casting His Vote

Kenyans have flocked to their local voting places today, prepared to cast ballots and pick the new leaders they like. The majority of voters arrived at the polls as early as three in the morning.

Only a few polling places have yet to begin the voting process because voting materials were delayed, with the majority of polling places still conducting the voting exercise. On Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 5 a.m., the exercise was declared to have started.

One of the four presidential contenders vying to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta is Deputy President William Ruto. The first presidential contender to cast a ballot was Ruto.

Along with his wife, Mama Rachel Ruto, he cast a ballot in Sugoi. Even though this election is the deputy president's first attempt to gain the position, he expressed confidence in his ability to do it. Ruto stated that it is up to the people to make sensible leader selections.

"I look forward to a successful day, and it is incumbent upon all of us to respect the decisions made by the people of Kenya."
