The young politician is no stranger to controversy, having frequently hit the front pages of local newspapers for various reasons. The MP's family, particularly his wife Fridah Muthoni, remains relatively unknown to the general public.

Mr. Owino used his YouTube account to interview his wife and introduce her to the world. Babu and Fridah have been married for approximately ten years and have two children. During the interview, Babu praised Fridah as a kind woman and a responsible mother to their children. Fridah stated that she has a strong grasp of her husband's slum upbringing, which she believes has influenced his perceived temperament and character.

Fridah attended Lions Primary School in Embu, where she excelled in the KCPE, achieving 443 points out of a possible 500. She then transferred to Loreto High School in Limuru, where she received an A minus in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). She then went to the University of Nairobi to study Economics and graduated with a Bachelor's degree.

Fridah began her work as an intern before moving on to I & M Bank. She chose to leave her job and pursue a business because of her passion for fashion. She launched her own fashion company, which she still manages.
