Ruto Will be Mad at You, Oguda Shames David Ndii After Misleading Post on High Electricity Bills

Ndii: I will leave Kenya if Ruto becomes president – Nairobi News

Daily Nation Columnist Gabriel Oguda has shamed UDA economic strategist David Ndii over his alleged misleading morning tweet defending the high cost of electricity bills.

This was after Ndii, who is one of Ruto's economic advisors stated that Kenyans have no option other than to adjust to the high power bills currently being experienced in the country.

He defended the high cost of bills saying that cheap electricity was not part of their UDA manifesto after all.

"If you are keen on our manifesto, you could have noted that cheaper power did not feature anywhere in our pledges for electricity," he stated

However, Oguda in a quick encounter, schooled Ndii, disapproving of his claims. Oguda took a screenshot of the UDA party manifesto speaking of electricity. In particular, Oguda pointed out a section where Ruto's UDA party promised to bring down the cost of electricity.

"Improve reliability, bring down the cost of electricity. We propose a three-point plan to bring down the cost of electricity namely..." read part of UDA's manifesto on electricity plans.

He lashed out at Ndii, saying despite taking part in drafting the UDA manifesto, he has failed to recognize what he wrote and instead tried misleading Kenyans. He warned Ndii that his boss William Ruto will be mad at him for misleading Kenyans and lying about what is contained in the UDA manifesto

"Dear, @DavidNdii. I have highlighted the section where you promised to "bring down the cost of electricity." The President will be mad that he hired an economic advisor who only reads Economics Books that were last published when Archdeacon J.J. Willis established Maseno School," stated Oguda
