Nyando member of Parliament Jared Odoyo has weighed in at the possibilities of postponing 2022 General elections to give room for the delimitation of the new 70 constituencies as proposed by the Building Bridges Initiative BBI drive.
Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV Trevor Ombija, the MP is said to have strongly opposed the plans to extend president Uhuru Kenyatta's term beyond August next year.
According to former prime minister Raila Amolo Odinga allied lawmaker there was no crisis as every corner of the country was well represented currently.
He said if the price of getting the new 70 constituencies was to extend president Kenyatta's term then it would rather be done away with.
He said the new constituencies should be delimitated before or after next year 's general elections.

"There is no crisis and every constituency is represented by an MP, there is no unrepresented corner of Kenya and we can have the new constituencies either before or after the General Elections" the MP was quoted.
"As one from the “benefitting” Mt Kenya region, I fully welcome the 70 New Constituencies. But if the price to pay is to extend the life of this government by even one day, you can boil the 70 and make soup from them # FinishAndGo" Gatundu South MP revealed.
