Today, Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders led by the Deputy President William Samoei Ruto took their campaign tour to Marsabit County in a bid to popularise political ambitions. The DP was accompanied by several leaders including Garrisa Town MP Aden Nduale, Kello Harsama, Ali Rasso, Kithure Kindiki, Ndindi Nyoro among others.

During the rally, the DP was welcomed by huge crowd. Among the crowd was a young boy who gifted DP Ruto. According to a post shared by digital strategist Dennis Itumbi who is a close ally to the DP, the boy had gifted a bundle of tooth brushing twigs. The twigs are mostly used by the pastoralist communities as tooth brush.
Information revealed by Kenyans.co.ke on twitter indicate that the Deputy President William Samoei Ruto rewarded the young boy with Ksh 20,000 for the gift.
