Irked youths in Kirinyaga have riot and burned campaign shirts ahead of the deputy President William Ruto's visit in the county.

DP Ruto is on Sunday, Nov 28, expected to attend church service at ACK before he makes in-road rallies to popularize his 'hustler' and 'Bottom-up' approach narratives.

In the photos shared by Nation, the campaign shirts for Governor Anne Waiguru were in the middle of the road, set ablaze as anti-Waiguru chants rent the air.

As witnessed by this Writer, also roads leading and stretching out to the church were barricaded by youths, suggesting that Waiguru should be locked out.

The Kirinyaga women representative Purity Ngirici and County head Anne Waiguru have been bitterly engaging in the blame game about mismanagement of county resources.

Recently, Ngirici had announced to take sabbatical leave from matters UDA Party politics in a bid to strategize and reflect her move ahead of 2022 polls.

Ngirici, Waiguru rivalry re-energized few days after Waiguru declared to have joined Ruto's UDA Party.
