And now provisional final results that were being tallied by The Star have been released.

Ruto received 50.36 percent of the vote to Raila's 48.88 percent, Radio Africa's (provisional and not yet fully confirmed by the IEBC) count of all Forms 34B.

"The Star tally of all Form 34Bs (provisional and yet to be fully verified by the IEBC) shows that Ruto received 50.36 percent of the vote compared to 48.88 percent for Raila," reads The Star statement.

Currently, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) are verifying and checking the results to ascertain they match before tabulating them.

It will be waited to be seen who will be announced as the next president of Kenya.
