MCK Raises Concerns Over Differing Transmission of Presidential Results by Media

Media Council of Kenya as has raised concerns over Differing Presidential Results being transmitted by various media houses in Kenya.

Through a press statement, has directed media houses to engage them so that they can come up with a synchronised way of transmitting the results to have causing tension in the country.

The council further affirmed that the results the media houses were transmitting were coming directly from Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission as received from various tallying centers in the country.

However, it warned the houses that it is only IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati who has the mandate to announce the final presidential results.

On the results transmission, currently on Citizen TV Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga is having garnered 2,646,139 votes against DP Ruto who has allegedly garnered 2,383,805.

In K24 DP Ruto is leading with 1,130,584 followed by Raila at 967,153, Wajackoyah 8,664 while Mwaure is at 3,994.

KTN News DP Ruto at 3,00,289, Raila at 2,796,214, Wajackoyah 23,130, Mwaure 13, 398

KBC DP Ruto at 782,217, Raila 664,251, Wajackoyah 7,823 while Mwaure is at 3,500.

We continue to remind our followers that these are just provisional results. IEBC is yet to announce the final presidential results.
