Interior CS Fred Matiangi has poured messages of thanks and congratulations to the first lady Margeret Kenyatta. He is of the view that the first Lady has been at the forefront in the fight of the gender based violence in the country out of her own volition.
Matiangi and first lady Margeret Kenyatta were speaking in the Poly Care in the police service. It's something that's meant to fight the gender based violence in the police service as well so that the police can be able to deal with the gender violence issues.
According to CS Fred Matiangi, it's clear the first lady has stepped in out of her own will and not forced by anybody whatsoever to help the girls. He is clear the first lady has been at the forefront helping in the fight against the violence of girls mainly experienced in the country.
The first lady Margeret Kenyatta however while speaking made it clear that she will continue to spearhead gender equality. It's clear gender based violence issues have been ripe in the country something very unfortunate but one that must be dealt with firmly.
