Joshua Kutuny, a member of parliament for Cherangany, has declared that he will not back Raila Odinga's campaign for the presidency on behalf of Azimio la Umoja, despite the fact that he is a candidate for the Jubilee party.
Sрeаking tо his fоllоwers in the Сheрsirо, Kiрtоrоr аreа оf the Сherаngаny соnstituenсy, Kutuny аnnоunсed his deсisiоn tо refrаin frоm саmраigning fоr Rаilа Оdingа аnd Williаm Rutо, the UDА's рresidentiаl саndidаte.
According to Kutuny, his decision was inspired by his wish to devote all of his attention on his re-election campaign rather than his presidential aspirations.
Despite this, the Ruto-rebel lawmaker said he would be willing to cooperate with either Ruto or Raila if they won the August 9 presidential election.
Every MCA and MP seat, in his opinion, is important since it requires interacting with the general public. He made the decision to focus the majority of his efforts on running a successful local campaign for himself as a result.
Kutuny pleaded with the people not to judge him for his decision to back President Uhuru Kenyatta, claiming that he would stick with the man until he relinquished power.
He went on to explain that while he was aware that his fans had already decided whom to choose, he pleaded with them to have an open mind regarding the election's eventual victor.
