"We're Not Banking So Much On The Issue Of Direct Support From The President" Raila Ally Says

Since the March 2018 handshake between president Uhuru Kenyatta and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, many believe that the president could endorse Raila to succeed him in 2022.

This is believed to be the cause of the political rift between the president and his deputy William Samoei Ruto considering that the two are also believed to have had an agreement of supporting one another for two terms each.

Speaking to Citizen Television on Tuesday 21 September, 2021 Migori county woman representative Pamela Odhiambo who is one of the top ally of Raila, said that they are not banking do much on president Uhuru's support.

She added that the former prime minister is a man who still can make it alone since the people of Kenya know him very well because of the achievements he has made in ensuring that Kenya is where it is today.

"We are not banking do much on the issue of direct support from the president. Raila Odinga is his own man," she said.

She further said that there is no problem if the president supported Raila and it is also okey if he didn't support him.

The woman representative further said that the endorsement by the president could only succeed if the right person is endorsed
