Questions Raised on Whereabouts of Former Governor Hassan Joho, Here is his Last Public Appearance

Since he handed over power to current Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir on September 23, the former Mombasa county governor, Mr Ali Joho, has not been seen in public.

Mr Joho was last seen eating chamcha with East African Parliament member Mr Suleiman Shahbal and Tanzanian artist Ommy Dimpoz with other friends in Dubai.

The watch he was wearing created a buzz on the internet, after it was discovered that the Richard Mille watch (RM11-01) is worth approximately Sh50 million.

His absence from the public eye has raised whispers, while those who used his name to run businesses in Mombasa were left in the dark.

Despite this, Mr Joho has been uploading pictures of himself in Dubai and the Netherlands.

The governor who usually likes to show his followers on social media, how he enjoys a luxurious life has continued to do so.

He has been continuing to throw those videos hitting his enemies to his 1.2m followers on Instagram, Facebook and 326,000 on TikTok.

The former chief of staff in his government, Mr Joab Tumbo, explains that his boss is not the old one.

He is currently pursuing his personal affairs.

"He will return to Kenya soon. There is life after politics," said Mr Tumbo.

Mr Joho secretly traveled to foreign countries, just after the August 9 general election.

Several months later there were rumors that he had left the ODM party and formed his own party.

Despite this, the leader of the ODM party dismissed the accusations, explaining that Joho was the main part of the ODM party.
