Deputy President William Ruto Claims Mount Kenya Is His Stronghold As He Ridicules Newcomers

The race for the 2022 presidential race is gaining moment each and every moment as candidates for the top seat are lining up in search of votes in the various parts of the country. On Sunday, the deputy president who is in the race to become the 5th president of Kenya, described Mount Kenya as his stronghold when he toured the area.

The Deputy president described those who are touring mount Kenya trying to work the voters to their sides as newcomers, claiming that he was there before anybody else and that it's his stronghold area. He was camping in Mount Kenya in a bid to outsmart the advances of ODM leader Raila Odinga claiming that he was welcome but the region has already decided on their next presidential candidate.

The deputy president held rallies in Nyahururu, Nanyuki and Naibor towns where he sort support for the United Democratic Movement (UDA) and pleaded with the residents not to be bought into tribal politics.

The Service Party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri who hails from Laikipia is agitating for a pre coalition with UDA and is also clamouring for unity together with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua. There advances are gaining momentum which has aided DP Ruto and his troops in bringing an all-round political war at their doorsteps.

The DP gas said that his political formation has the face of the nation with over 150 Members of Parliament and added that it's the only political party which will unite Kenyans. He added that this time he was going to support the ordinary citizens to uplift their living standards unlike in 2013 and 2017 when he supported President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He urged the people of Mount Kenya to stand with him and repay the gesture of standing with president Uhuru when Raila Odinga turned his back on them in 2013 when they were facing the ICC.
