Embu County Governor Hon Martin Wambora, has called upon the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) and all other presidential aspirants from Mt Kenya region, to shelve their ambitions and join the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga's journey to State House in upcoming 2022 general elections.

Speaking during Azimio la Umoja meeting between ODM chief Raila Odinga and a group of delegates from the counties of Embu, Meru and Tharaka Nithi, Wambora endorsed Raila Odinga for presidency urging the other presidential hopefuls in One Kenya Alliance (OKA), that's Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi and Moses Wetangula to shelve their ambitions and join Raila because he is the most formidable to clinch the top seat.

Wambora argued that those other presidential aspirants from Mt Kenya and one Kenya Alliance group, are just seeking for attention but they don't have any chance to win presidency next year compared to Raila. Therefore they should open their eyes earlier and see where the political wave is heading and back Raila's bid immediately.

"Unajua kuna wale viongozi wengine hata huku Mt Kenya wanasema wanataka Urais lakini hao wanataka tu attention. Na wale viongozi wa OKA mimi nilikua huko Safari Park Hotel wakati walikutana na Mt Kenya foundation, na nikaambiwa without unity there's nowhere they are going. Na kuanzia leo wale viongozi wa OKA ninawaambia lazima waungane na wewe mara moja." He said.
