Mwalimu Abduba Dida, a former presidential candidate, has defended Hon. Babu Owino, the member of parliament for the Embakasi East constituency, from attacks made by Peter Opondo Kaluma, the member of parliament for Homabay town.
Opondo had blasted the young lawmaker because of a broadcast on a local TV station on the reasons why former prime minister Raila Odinga lost the August General Elections.

He discredited the documentary by saying that Babu and Kanchory can't be believed as sources.
However, in response, Mwalimu Dida scolded Kaluma, saying that Babu is better than him because he ran for and successfully defended a seat in Nairobi county, whereas Only Raila did not.
"According to Mheshimiwa, @HEBabuOwino has accomplished something that only @RailaOdinga has done. It's not simple to win in Nairobi and keep your seat." His words.
"If you want to compare your options, try competing in Embakasi East before letting Babu take your seat in Homa Bay. On the political scale, Babu is your senior." He challenged the outspoken lawmaker.
