
His Excellency the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has landed in Giakabei Primary School grounds on Thursday afternoon.
He is at his former Mathira constituency attending the burial of the area's former Member of Parliament the late Honourable Eliud Matu Wamae.
Upon his arrival, he was received by top personalities including Nyeri county governor Mutahi Kahiga and the Mathira constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Eric Mwangi Wamumbi.

The late Mr Wamae passed on at his home on Wednesday evening according to the official statement that was released by his family.
Born in Kianyingi village in Mathira constituency in 1933, the 89-year-old served three consecutive terms from 1983 to 1988, when he was defeated by Ngibuini Kuguru, and again from 1992 to 2002, when Nderitu Gachagua was elected on a Narc- Kenya ticket.
