Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen launched a scathing attack on Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe claiming that he was under the influence of something during their interview.

This is after Murathe interrupted Murkomen a number of times when he was answering questions which made it impossible for the senator to respond when it was his turn to speak.

A frustrated Murkomen told Murathe that he should not come to the show while ‘drunk’ as he asked the local TV station to control him.

“You have to find a way of holding David Murathe because he is not in a position where he can compose himself and he is not in control of himself. You should stop drinking when you come to the show,” said Senator Murkomen.

An angry Murathe responded to Murkomen telling him to join him in the drinking saying, “Wee kuja tukunywe na wewe.”

Murathe further said that Murkomen was accusing him of being under the influence since he has failed to respond to some of the questions coming his way.

The Jubilee party official told Murkomen to answer questions and stop trying to avoid some of the questions being asked.

“When Murkomen cannot argue, he starts saying people are under the influence…but what has he done to help the President achieve his Big 4 agenda?” said Murathe.

The two leaders during the interview were asked about the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which Murkomen who is an ally of Deputy President William Ruto is opposing.

The two were further asked about the wrangles in Jubilee party with Murkomen saying that the party can remain stronger if they work together while Murathe said that those who want to leave can leave.
