Embakasi North Member of Parliament Hon James Gakuya, has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta to distance himself from Mt Kenya region politics ahead of 2022 general elections, in order to avoid being embarrassed during the election day.
Speaking on an interview with TV47, Gakuya claimed that if the President wants to retire in peace and respect next year, he should distance himself from Mt Kenya region politics. He should avoid engaging himself in the politics of the region because the residents will embarrass him during the voting day.
Gakuya told the President to avoid trying to convince the people of the region on whom they will vote in as President to succeed him next year. He argued that the residents of the region have decided to back the Deputy President Dr William Ruto's presidential bid, and they will not turn back on their journey to send Ruto to the top seat.
