Just one day after the presidential election results were published, Kenya Kwanza has profited greatly as lawmakers who ran as independent candidates have decided to join the team.
He was elected on an independent ticket, and it appears like joining the president-team elect's will be a tremendous benefit moving ahead.
In addition, a legislator from Gatundu North Elijah Njoroge, who is also an independent member of parliament has joined the Kenya Kwanza cabinet. As shown in the images, Ruto welcomed the two to his Karen home in Nairobi.
The Kenya Kwanza coalition, led by Deputy President William Ruto, has 159 legislators in the National Assembly, while the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition, led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, has 161.
This is a major win for William Ruto as this means he will likely control Parliament.
