Hon. George Murugara, a parliamentarian from Tharaka Town and a crucial ally of President William Ruto, informed the head of state today that if Raila and his group continue to incite Kenyans against new attempts to amend the Constitution of Kenya 2010, the JLAC members will abandon the idea of creating the position of the official opposition leader.
The Vocal Mt. Kenya Mp further stated that Raila and his supporters should realize that the issue of constitutional amendment is not a life-or-death one and that the country can continue without the said amendments. Despite assuring the nation that Ruto amendments would be chosen based on priority, he said this.
In addition to this, President William Ruto has announced 11,000 job openings for young people in Nairobi to replace the shuttered Kazi Mtaani project.
Additionally, Ruto declared that the young people will be a part of the "green army" created to fulfill the vision of more trees in Nairobi County.
