President William Samoei Ruto on Tuesday unveiled his Cabinet Ministers who are set to take over from the outgoing Cabinet Secretaries who were working under the Jubilee administration. The head only managed to retain two people from the former administration, CS Simon Chelugui, and Monica Juma.
However, a lot of attention has focused on the outgoing Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Dr. Fred Matiang'i. Many predicted that he will not be retained by President Ruto due to their political differences especially during the campaign period.
Now that his position has been taken by former Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki, all attention now focuses on Dr. Fred Matiang'i to see what he will do in his later career life after diligently serving retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the Star, Dr. Fred Matiangi might head to the United Nations where he is reported to have secured a new job. It is also reported that he will accept the job offer once he finishes handing it over to Professor Kithure Kindiki who is subject to be vetted and cleared by the National Assembly.
Also, the no-nonsense Super CS is expected to return to his rural home in Gusii land and manage several development projects that he has been working on during his time in the government.
All attention will now focus on CS Fred Matiangi to see if he will head to his rumored new job in the United Nations or if he will remain in Kenya.
