ODM conducted their nomination in Migori yesterday.That was for the seat of woman representative, Suna West member of parliament and the members of County Assembly. The tallying was conducted online and so the result was announced in no time.
Dennitah Ghati won the woman representative seat with a total of 37,792 votes.Fatuma Mohammed came second with 23,552.Zilpah Audline was third with 10,888 votes as Dorothy Kajimba settled for fourth spot with 3,520 votes. Josephine Sirega had opted out of the polls a day before.Hon Francis Peter Masara won the Suna West parliamentary seat.He floored Joseph Obiero Ndiege who was his main challenger.The race only attracted two aspirants.Masara is the incumbent and won on an independent ticket and now will go with ODM.He is painted as a development conscious man who has delivered to the people.
The two now join the list of other leaders who had been given direct tickets before for Governor-Ochillo Ayacko and Eddy Gicheru-Senator.
