"We Say No To That" Leaders Decline Baba's Claim Over Kibaki's Story In Mount Kenya Region

The former Prime Minister, Mr. Raila Odinga visited Mount Kenya region today to talk to the Kenyans ahead of the 2022 General Elections.

The Orange Democratic Movement party leader declared to the people of the Mount Kenya region that in 2002 he supported the former third president, Hon. Mwai Kibaki to win for the presidency despite being sick.

He asked the Mount Kenya region leaders to give him support in the coming election as he did to Mr. Kibaki.

However, this has been received differently from the various leaders. For instance, Mr. Moses Wetangula, the senator of Bungoma county, declined Baba's claim saying that he and his Luhya Community also supported Kibaki in 2002 but that shouldn't be the reason for Raila to ask for support.

To make matters worse for the ODM boss, Jirongo added that the Luhya Community was the most loyal and supportive to Mwai Kibaki than any other community during that time. He stated that but they haven't requested any payback yet.
