Renowned businessman, Jimi Wanjigi, was dramatically arrested on Tuesday. Wanjigi was arrested after 18 hours of intensive search by DCI officers at Kwacha offices in Westlands. The police said that Wanjigi and his wife were involved in a land tussle that happened over a decade ago.
Jimi spent the Tuesday night in Kamukunji police cells and was taken to Milimani court on Wednesday morning. He was thereafter let free.
Wanjigi later undressed Odinga where he accused him of betraying him. The business mogul termed Raila as Judas Iscariot who sold Jesus Christ for thirty pieces of silver. Bitter Wanjigi said that Azimio la Umoja is Azimio la Usaliti.
Kalonzo Musyoka's son, Kennedy Musyoka, has come out to castigate Kenyan government for harassing Jimi Wanjigi. Speaking during an exclusive interview with TV47, Kennedy has said that it was unfortunate for the government to persecute a normal Kenyan who is not a terrorist.
Musyoka has gone ahead to say that it would have been better for the government to use the resources in fighting terrorism in some places such as Lamu.
"I saw tens of police officers being deployed to arrest one person who is not even a terrorist. That money that was used in that operation would have been channeled in Lamu to fight terrorism," alluded Kennedy.
As the general election approaches, Kalonzo's heir has called for peace among Kenyans. Kennedy has suggested that all presidential candidates should have a handshake before going to the August polls arguing that this step would cool the political temperatures.
