The ODM leader Raila Odinga and his party is facing a big threat of stiff competition from other Azimio affiliated parties and independent in some of his strongholds. Homabay gubernatorial contest between the former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero and the Homabay MP Gladys Wanga, seems to be in a close healthy competition.
Siaya gubernatorial race also seems to be quite a match to watch between the Hon. Nichorus Gumbo and senator Orengo who is vying on an ODM ticket. Gumbo is vying on a UDM ticket a party which is allied to the Raila's Azimio coalition. The two gentle decided to face the ODM candidates after they allegedly felt to have been left out by the ODM nominations which were done scientifically.
The two ODM candidates from the two counties have been missing from the active presidential campaigns but they have been concentrating on their bid. The good part of all these is that all the candidates have pledged their loyalty to the presidential aspirant for the Azimio coalition.
