Ruto Promises an End to Fuliza 'Sufferings' and Other Hindrances for Small Scale Traders (Video)

Deputy President William Ruto has promised to put an end to a series of hindrances to prosperity that are faced by small scale traders in their daily lives when he takes over as the 5th President of Kenya after the 2022 General election via a UDA Party ticket.

The second in command was speaking in Kilgoris, Narok County during a meeting with grassroot leaders from Emurua Dikirr on Wednesday 6th October when he reiterated his plans for the small scale businesses ahead of next year's election.

Ruto said that his government will set aside a financial desk to help raise the small scale traders and farmers across the crowd post 2022. He said that an empowerment of the small scale traders will be the beginning of an end to poverty in the country.

DP Ruto said that among his plans for the small scale traders is to ensure that he ends a series of sufferings that they undergo in their daily businesses such as the direct effects of heavy rains and scathing attack of the sun as they work on open places. He also mentioned unnecessary interference by the security and the high interest loans like Fuliza as other areas he will have to put an end to.

"Lazima tuangalie vile bishara ya mtu mdogo anaweza kusaidika hasipigwe na jua na mvua, hazifukuzwe na maaskari na wasiangaishwe na mambo ya Fuliza (We have to look on how to empower the small scale traders from the effects of the sun and the rain, ensure that they are not sent away my the police and put an end to the sufferings of Fuliza)," Ruto said.
