Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, Senator Susan Kihika and Ruto's Nakuru right hand man were escorted by a heavy convoy of high end vehicles.They had expected to convene a campaign rally to drum the support of Nzuki Wachira as they were also accompanied by Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie,Allias KJ and Mohammed Alli of Nyali.
The seat was left vacant after the death of MCA Samuel Karanja Mbugua who succumbed to suspected Covid 19 complications on November 18,2020.
The grand entry of Ngunjiri and his company was met by heavy contingent of police officers who blocked the main road leading to the venue on Saturday February 20
The atteracations between the police and the host politicians ensued over the illegality of the planned meeting with each side maintaining it was abinding with the public order Act.
As they tried to convince the officers that they had been issued with the permit to hold the meeting as per the law the politicians gave up and walked away but soon it was all smoke.
