It is now thirty nine days remaining to the 9th August 2022 general elections, various politicians are on the ground campaigning before the official closure of campaigns as provided by the independent electoral and boundaries commission. In the elections there will be contentions for the six elective seats of member of county assemblies, members of parliament, women representatices, senators, governors and the president.
Today Raila Odinga's wife Mama Ida Odinga and Raila's running mate Martha Karua took their campaigns to Kisii county, the two later moved to Gusii stadium in which they were to address people who came in their numbers to listen to the two.
At Gusii stadium, before Martha Karua took stage a tear gas canister has been thrown a lot of confusion making the attendees to start escaping for safety. Martha Karua, Ida Odinga and other top dignitaries have been moved to safety.
