As Raila Odinga is making rounds around the coastal region to popularise BBI initiative, he had the opportunity to meet his former prison warden whom they became friends when he was an inmate in Shimo La Tewa prison.
Raila who met Mzee John Mwavuda in Mbololo Village, Kilifi county expressed his gratitude to the old man as he welcomed him to the podium. Raila was prisoned for close to 10 years where he even missed the burial of his late mother. This long and torturuos prison sentence made him stay away from his family as he missed the most important days of the lives of his children and family.
However he didn't hold a grudge for that and that's why he welcomed his longtime buddy to the podium. The post by ODM party; BUDDIES FOREVER: Mzee John Mwavuda was an AFANDE at Shimo La Tewa prison. @RailaOdinga is was an INMATE at the facility. They became friends and their friendship grew bigger and bigger. Baba made sure he came to his rally which was held in his village of Mbololo.
