The leader who should succeed Head of State President William Ruto in the upcoming 2027 presidential election has been named by the Jubilee Party administration.
By announcing plans to present Hon. Raila Odinga as the most suitable presidential flag bearer in the upcoming general elections of 2027, close allies of retired Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta have stoked a new controversy within the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance led by Hon. Raila Odinga.
It will be Raila Odinga's sixth attempt at Kenya's presidency if the aforementioned plan is fully supported by the Jubilee Party government.
According to the Nation news platform, the Jubilee Party Vice-Chairman Hon. David Murathe and the Party's Secretary-General Hon. Jeremiah Kioni told the Sunday Nation that the ODM leader Raila Odinga remains the preferred candidate of the coalition for the 2027 general election.
