National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has given special orders ahead of a scheduled sitting of the National Assembly slated on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 2.30 Pm.
In a report via the National Assembly Kenya Official Social Media page, Speaker Muturi has informed the members of Parliament that they should prepare for the meeting and revealing that among the agenda's to be discussed are Conclusion of the Urgent business, and Consideration of a Motion to alter the Calendar of the house.
However, the National Assembly Speaker has informed that the Members of Parliament need to strictly adhere to the preventive measures on Coronavirus pandemic as issued by President Uhuru Kenyatta during his recent State of the Nation Address.
Among the orders, Speaker Muturi has informed that the Members of Parliament should not be restricted to attend the meeting due to the covid-19 preventive measure on barring movements in and out of zoned areas directing the Clerk of the National Assembly to coordinate the process.
"The Clerk of the National Assembly is hereby directed to convey this message to the relevant security agencies and State Departments for them to provide unrestricted travel and access to the capital to all Members of the National Assembly for this purpose, and THAT the Clerk of the National Assembly is also directed to convey this message to all Members of the National Assembly," read the report from Speaker Muturi.
