Sad News For Raila's Man Nderitu Muriithi As Latest Opinion Poll Results Places Him Second

As the two leading presidential candidates, Raila Odinga and William Ruto, continue their campaigning in the Mt. Kenya region, the competition leading up to the general elections in August has taken on a very clear shape. They have leaders at the grassroots level who are organizing people to take action on their behalf. One of them is the honorable Nderitu Muriithi, who serves as both the governor of Laikipia county and as the head of Raila Odinga's presidential campaign board.

However, the results of the most recent opinion poll that was conducted by Mizani Africa showed that he came in second place. This is not good news for him this evening. Their findings indicate that former Governor Joshua Irungu, candidate for the UDA party, is currently in the lead with 57.4 percent of the vote, followed by Muriithi with 36.1% and John Wakaba with 5.4 percent.

This is not a good sign for the governor, notwithstanding the fact that opinion surveys do not accurately represent the results of elections. This indicates that in the remaining months, he needs to put in a lot of effort to ensure that he obtains the votes of his followers from the previous election.
