The Deputy President rebuked the Murang'a lawmaker who gave the amount saying as a gubernatorial aspirant in the county. He also added anyone interested in Murang'a County governor seat must give to the people.
Speaking on Wednesday, November 3, at Gatunyu Grounds in Murang’a County for the launch of the Wakili Edward Muriu Pesa Mfukoni Bursary Fund, he said no governor should ever donate such "little money".
Deputy President William Ruto advised the Senator to return with his little money and go look for 100,000 to donate or he should loan the money in case he didn't have that much and he was willing to owe him.
