"We Can't Accept Kupangiwa" Alfred Mutua Delivers His Stand On Uhuru's 2022 Plans

Top of President Uhuru's agenda when he hosted leaders from Ukambani region at State House in Nairobi yesterday on June 14th was perhaps to bring them together and see that they are united for them to back the individual that he'll endorse as his preferred candidate in the 2022 Presidential race.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader Alfred Mutua, his NARC counterpart Charity Ngilu and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka were among those leaders and they seemed to be speaking in one voice in that meeting.

However, things seem to have turned out different and even though they physically together yesterday, their thoughts were miles apart.

This became evident today on June 15th when the Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua rejected attempts by "a few individual to share this country and leave the rest of Kenyans empty handed".

Speaking from Embu county where he had travelled to meet his Maendeleo Chap Chap party members and popularize the party in My Kenya, Governor Mutua said that anyone can be President of this country and not just a few individuals.

"Any person can be the President of Kenya. The Presidency isn't reserved for some special people. It's not reserved for some people on the basis of how long they've worked in the Government or which party they lead.

Every Kenyan child regardless of where you were born or your tribe can be a President of Kenya," he said.

On President Uhuru's quest to unite various bigwigs in the country and support one in the 2022 politics, Mutua said that "hii mipango ya kupangiwa ati hawa pekee tu ndio wakae kwa meza wagawane Kenya kati yao ni ubatili mkubwa" (plans that only a chosen few will sit at the table and divide Kenya amongst themselves is a great vanity), he said.

He also added that "time has come for us the youth to sit down and teach these old and rich men a lesson that they can't just share Kenya among themselves the way they want."
