Gloves Off in Makueni Senatorial Race as Narc Candidate Lectures Governor Kibwana & MP Dan Maanzo

Makueni senatorial race continues to heat up as the leaders who have been considered as the front runners taking to their different campaigns rallies to fire salvos at each other few weeks in to the August polls.

The whole drama started after Makueni member of parliament Dan Maanzo, and who is seeking the seat under Wiper party claimed that his competitor Governor Kivutha Kibwana has nothing tangible to show the residents, and the best thing was to have him retire.

Maanzo further hit out on Narc Party's candidate Patrick Mbau saying that he was 'climbing the leadership ladder from the top' and thus there was nothing concrete he has for the residents of Makueni County.

Speaking with Local media station, Mutongoi TV on Saturday, Mbau termed Maanzo's remarks as 'kicks of a dying horse,' saying that the lawmaker had sensed defeat and that was the reason he was making such remarks.

Mbau went on to dare Maanzo to account how he had spent CDF funds and what he did to the people of Makueni Constituency during his tenure.

He further claimed that both Maanzo and Kibwana are not suitable to lead the residents since they had shown how their leadership is in the offices they are currently serving, adding that he is the best person to succeed Senator Mutula Kilonzo Juinor who is eyeing the gubernatorial seat.
