David Ndii Reveals The Amount Of Money The Newly Appointed CAS Will Be Taking Home As Salary

For days now Kenyans have been debating on the newly created Cabinet Administrative Secretary position and the number of appointees made by president William Ruto to serve in the offices. Fifty individuals were appointed to serve in different ministries and Kenyans have been asking what their work will be. People have also been wondering about the amount of money the CASs will be taking home.

Economic advisor to the president, David Ndii has now revealed to Kenyans the total amount of money the appointed individuals will be taking home as salary. The fifty CAS will earn a total of Sh450 million monthly which Ndii said is 0.075% of two nation's wage bill which as of now stands at Sh600 billion. Jakakimba argued that it was a small amount of money for Kenyans to be crying about.

"For the record, the payroll of 5O CASs (Sh450M)is 0.075% of the national government wage bill (Sh600B) less than 1/1000th." He said.

This has raised mixed reactions from Kenyans who have come out to disagree with Ndii. Many have argued that the money is more than enough to provide essential services to the people of Kenya.
