Nominated senator Isaac Mwaura has been given a new role in the United Democratic Alliance campaign team days after losing and conceding defeat to Simon Ng'ang'a for Ruiru constituency in Kiambu county.
According to news shared by Deputy President William Ruto, Mwaura will now be in charge of the Kiambu UDA campaign team that will come hard to see that the Ruto gets the votes from the region. Mwaura will further represent the community of persons with disabilities.
DP Ruto further thanked Mwaura for accepting and conceding defeat to Ng'ang'a saying that his actions add more to his leadership credentials.
"Welcome Hon Isaac Mwaura to the Kenya Kwanza national campaign. Your magnanimity to accept the outcome of our just concluded party nominations in Ruiru Constituency adds to your leadership credentials. I wish you well in your new role as team leader in Kiambu County and also in the community of people living with disabilities," posted Ruto.
In his acceptance speech, Mwaura said that he was going to work hard and support Simon to achieve and clinch the seat and at the same time will work hard to make sure that DP Ruto will be the 5th president of the Republic of Kenya.
