Politicians close to the late president Uhuru Kenyatta have suggested they would back Raila Odinga's quest for the presidency in 2027. Former Jubilee chairman David Murathe stated that if Raila decides to run for office again in 2027, they will support him. Murathe declared that regardless of whether Raila Odinga backs another candidate or runs for office, they will support him in whichever way he chooses.

"For now, a lot will depend on the party leader, Raila Odinga. I can tell you that if he decides to run again, some of us will support him. But if, in his own way, he decides to support someone else, we will all follow him. He is a leader. So, we’ll be looking up to him to provide the leadership and the guidance in terms of the next dispensation," said David Murathe.
Kenya politics is taking a new direction and leaders have started raising political temperatures in the country. It is now 3 months since elections was held in the country.
